rather to take the time to discuss the theme of BILINGUAL EDUCATION and its

impact on preserving our heritage/roots.

About the Book

Scholastic and Latin Grammy nominee Rita Rosa Ruesga have joined together to

bring us a parent’s dream collection of the best-loved nursery rhymes from Latin

America with a song on every spread, lyrics in Spanish and English, beautiful

illustrations, and the corresponding music notation, this collection is an ideal

introduction to the rich musical tradition of the Spanish-speaking countries.

About the Author

Rita Rosa Ruesga was born in Cuba and holds a degree in choral conducting from

the National School of Fine Arts of Cuba. Rita Rosa created Musikartis, a

bilingual music curriculum, and works as a music producer, teacher, and voice

coach. She is a 2009 Latin Grammy Award Nominee.





About the Guest Interviewer

Zulmara Cline is a contributing author in the best selling Chicken Soup for the

Latino Soul book and an educational consultant. She has written three poetry

books and wrote a novel during NaNoWriMo in November 2010. She has been an

educator since 1984 and has worked as a kindergarten teacher, a preschool

director, and a university professor in the area of literacy and early childhood

education. She is currently an administrator for the California State University

Chancellor's Office.



She enjoys biking and is currently in training for a century ride in June and

the fall foliage bikeride in Maine. She enjoys reading and can be found on

Goodreads, Blogspot, Facebook, and NaNoWriMo..
